The Colorado Emerald Society was formed to help foster the Irish heritage and traditions within public safety agencies, to promote and preserve the accomplishments the Irish have made to law enforcement and fire service. The Colorado Emerald Society is a social organization of men and women of public safety who are dedicated to their country and committed to the protection of our citizens. Our goals include sponsoring our CES Pipe and Drum Band who represent the State of Colorado at the National Peace Officers Memorial March and Service in Washington D. C., and the International Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service in Colorado Springs, as well as leading the Colorado Emerald Society in Denver’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Our philanthropic focus is centered on providing scholarship opportunities for family members of law enforcement, firefighter and public safety personnel.
Membership is open to active or retired law enforcement, firefighters or public service personnel. Associate membership is also open to family members or any person that embraces the Irish-American spirit. You do not have to be a resident of Colorado. Visit our Membership page via the dropdown menu for more information and an application.
While we hope and encourage all participants to become CES Members, everyone that embraces our spirt is welcome to our open events. Notably, those are the social events and often listed as Hoisted Pint on our Calendar of Events. Feel free to join us and make some new friends.
You can donate to Colorado Emerald Society through our website by clicking on the 'Donate' button on the homepage or via the dropdown menu at the top of the page.
All CES Members and family are invited to join us a march in the largest and greatest St Patrick's Day Parade this side of the Mississippi River. Non-members and friends of CES are welcome to join us space permitting. We are always led by our award-winning CES Pipe and Drum Band , followed by the general membership and usually (weather permitting) antique fire and police vehicles. Priority for riding on or in the vehicles goes to those less mobile and families. General Members are encouraged to wear their department/agency uniform of the CES black, long sleeve, button down shirt and black trousers or kilt. Of course, we have pre and post parade events and shenanigans! Send any specific inquiries to Info@COEmerald.org.
Yes, all donations made to Colorado Emerald Society are tax-deductible.
